    If you are looking for soul, it's too bad you've missed all the layers and deep philosophy in this movie. You could for instance take a 180 degrees different viewpoint about Jep, and imagine that he's gay. There are numerous references to that fact and then again… he could just as well be straight.

    The only time that this 'relaxed' guy – that litteraly 'sleeps with woman', instead of making love to them – seems to lose his temper, is when he confronts the 'higher clergy', and then there is the eye-contact with men.

    Moreover his first love -or what he thought is was -was hit and sunk at the same rock, where Costa Concordia capsized…
